It's nice to meet you, Elizabeth :) So could we get started by finding out where in the world you currently reside?

I’m a digital nomad so I don’t have a typical “home”. I am currently in Austin, TX with my children for the time being. Going to move to San Diego for a bit next month as long as I can get there!  :)

Is this also where you grew up?

Not at all, it’s simply where I came when the pandemic hit and I chose to be close to my children. I had been in Santa Marta, Colombia prior to that - a place I love.

Do you recall what was school like for you? And how about your teenage years in general?

School was something I enjoyed originally, but as a teenager I got bored and it was not for me. When I felt like education was more about memorizing details and spewing back what teachers told us instead of critical thinking and creative problem solving I lost complete interest.

What words, or phrases, would you use to describe your current self?

I use many words to describe myself. Introvert would not be one of them although I do like alone time.

What were your favourite subjects at school? (If applicable) What did you study at university/college?

I would have to say English and Spanish were probably my favorite classes in high school. I did not go to university or college but ended up taking a few college courses over the years. My favorite college course was International Relations.

What are you spending your time on at the moment?

I am finishing editing my second book on the mindset of entrepreneurs. I’m continuing to work with clients as an International Life & Business Coach and cooking up a few other things seeing as my speaking schedule has taken a pause for now.

Was there a moment in your life when you made a drastic change?

My whole life has been a series of drastic changes which continues today in the way that I live. I am continually exploring different cultures and places and learning about how others approach life.

Do you have a preferred creative/artistic outlet?

I guess I would have to say that writing is my current creative outlet.

Would you describe yourself as a 'highly sensitive person', or an empath?

I would consider myself highly attuned to energy both in people and places. Part of that is the fact that I am continuously in new places so I am aware of people at a level both from an interest perspective and for safety.

What does being 'successful' look like to you?

Success for me is living life on my own terms. Living within the values I set for myself and contributing to others in a manner that feels fulfilling to me.

What about 'happiness'... what does that look like to you? Do you have any ‘ingredients’ for this?

Happiness for me is living a life I’m proud of and doing the things for myself and others that bring me satisfaction and joy.

Do you like to plan things, or are you more of a go-with-the-flow type of person?

I'm a little of both.

What does your 'perfect Sunday' look like?

Most of all my days are filled with the things I want to do so Sunday is no different. It is one of the beautiful things about my lifestyle.

Is there anything you've recently consumed (read, watched or listened to) that you've loved?

I really love Simon Sinek’s book, The Infinite Game. It was another great one from him.

Do you have any favourite blogs or podcasts?

I watch DarrenDaily every weekday - it’s a youtube mentorship video show each weekday.

How about favourite movies or TV shows?

I don’t watch TV, Netflix or any of those things. I watch movies usually only on planes (which I am on a lot!).

If you could go back in time and meet "you" back in 2010, is there any advice that you'd give this younger self?

It will all be ok - don’t try to figure it out, just be and do the next step whatever that feels like it is at any given time.

What does 'self-care' mean for you? How do you practise it?

Self-care to me is mostly about making time for myself to be quiet and by myself doing things I enjoy - maybe hiking, being at a beach, doing yoga (on the beach is double duty!) or anything like that.

Where can others find and connect with you online?

ThriveThisDay.com or on any social media @ThriveThisDay

Lastly, before I let you go, is there anything else you'd like to share?

Keep your goals in vision and allow the pathway to reveal itself with each step.
